Monsters University is an upcoming 2013 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. A prequel to the 2001 movie “Monsters Inc.,” Monsters University is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae. BIlly Crystal and John Googman play the voices of monsters one-eyed Mike and the furry blue Sulley. The castings directors at Disney are on a national search for kids to play extra voices on the new movie. They are looking for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 16 to do voice over alongside some famous actors. Monsters University will arrive in U.S. theaters June 21, 2013 and will be the first prequel that Disney has ever produced, the castings are going on until the end of 2012.
According to the director, Sully and Mike have actually known each other since grade school, but actually have always hated each other. Both are accepted into Monsters University and are upset about the other one attending the same school. What’s interesting is that both monsters are training to become scarers, which is equivalent to being an astronaut or a football star in the monsters universe. Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike andSulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Considerably younger, Mike and Sully will both looks considerably different in the new movie and Monsters University will get a few other surprise additions according to sources close to the producers.
