With shows like Pawn Stars and X Men The History channel has added its first original scripted series Vikings. Written by Michael Hirst, who has worked on similar series such as Elizabeth, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, The Tudors and most recently, Starz’ Camelot, Vikings will have a 10 episode run for its first season. The show tells the tale of the epic and violent world of the mighty Norsemen who raided, traded and explored during medieval times. According to History, Vikings will “will boast a polished, stylized look that pushes the boundaries of television drama and this is your opportunity to audition for the show. Casting directors are now taking submissions for male and female actors ages 18 and over for several extra and feature roles.
Vikings follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the sagas of Ragnar’s band of Viking brothers and his family, as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods, legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors. With the success that HBO has had with Game of Thrones we are sure that Vikings will not be disappointing and this is your chance to audition for several roles.
The casting directors are now taking applications for union and non union male and female actors of all ages for stand in and extra roles in Vikings.
