Howie Mandel is back with another game show based on peoples favorite holiday activity. White Elephant is coming to NBC for seven episodes. Mandel will serve as the series’ host as well as executive producer alongside Alevy Productions’ Mike Marks. A premiere date has not been set as filming has yet to begin. The concept seems to have the tense “take it or leave it” simplicity of Deal, but adds the allure of using tangible gifts instead of dollars and has the contestants’ gameplay impacting each other. The casting directors and producers at ABC are now looking for contestants for their new game show. This is a great opportunity for anyone that wants to be on TV and on top of that get to compete for some big prizes.
In White Elephant a contestant selects a box from a warehouse full of unmarked packages containing millions of dollars in prizes, showing what’s inside to the others. Then, the next player is faced with a potentially life-changing dilemma: do they steal a prize that has already been revealed, or do they take a chance with another unopened box, hoping what’s inside is worth more?
The final two players will face a tough choice, based on the classic psychology experiment “prisoner’s dilemma:” They’re presented with a box filled with two life changing prizes. They must choose whether to share the gifts, or steal the other player’s gift but risk walking away empty handed.
The casting directors are now looking for Male and Female contestants for the new game show. If you are itnereted please submit your application along with a photo and resume. Keep checking back for contestant casting dates and premier date for the show.
