AMC announced their plan for a new drama series that will be shot in Detroit named Low Winter Sun. The network, which is already the home of fan favorites like The Walking Dead, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad, will shoot the pilot episode of Low Winter Sun in Detroit. Adapted by one-time “Criminal Minds” co-executive producer Chris Mundy, the series is based on a 2006 British miniseries and would once again feature “Green Lantern” & “Sherlock Holmes” strong Mark Strong in the lead role. In addition to having one of the coolest TV show titles ever, is a pretty promising new Detroit-set drama and this is your chance to be cast for several leading and extra roles for Low Winter Sun. This is a grat opportunity for talent looking for their big break.
Low Winter Sun is a contemporary story of murder, lies, Revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is not clear. The story begins with the murder of a cop by a fellow Detroit detective. Seemingly the perfect crime, in reality the murder activates forces that will forever alter that detective’s life and pull him into the heart of the Detroit crime underworld. With Low Winter Sun AMC is hoping to replace departing critical heavyweight Breaking Bad and Mad Men.
The casting directors at AMC are on a national search for male actors for several roles in the series. They are looking for males that will play the roles of Detroit Police officers and several extra roles.
