Casting directors need models to ride “fixie” bikes for a major clothing brand commercial. Talents will be paid $750 if the images are used in the final campaign. The commercial will take place in New York City on November 16th or 17th.
A fixed-gear bike, commonly known as a “fixie”, is a bicycle that has a drive-train with no freewheel mechanism. In other words, there is only one gear that is “fixed” into position making the whole system work as one. You cannot pedal backward on a fixed gear bike, and you obviously cannot change gears. They were originally created as racing bikes because the momentum helps you move faster. The other main advantage to a fixed gear bike is its low weight and maneuverability, making it perfect for city life. Fixies do not have the option to coast, so constant pedaling is a must. They are perfect for a great cardio workout!
You will be modeling while riding one of these fixie bikes. If you do not know how to ride a bike or are uncomfortable with riding a fixie, please do not apply for this role. You will not be going very fast, but the photographers require you to look balanced for the photo. This shoot is a great opportunity to show your flexibility in your portfolio when it comes to unique photos.
Girls: 20’s in age, Artsy looking.
$750.00 (one 10 hour shoot day)
