Bones on FOX is based on a real life forensic anthropology scenarios. Produced by Far Field Productions and Josephson Entertainment in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Bones was created by Hart Hanson. Hanson, Stephen Nathan, as executive producers. It is loosely based on real life and writings of Novelist Kathy Reichs. The series premiere of Bones attracted an average of 10.0 million viewers in 2005 and it has been growing ever since. Going on to its 8th season the casting directors are looking for extras and day roles.
The premise of Bones is based on an alliance between Dr. Temperance a forensic anthropologist and Special Agent Seely Booth. Brennan is the central character and team leader of the fictional Jeffersonian Institute Forensic Sciences Department. The show revolves around solving cases by examining the human remains of possible murder victims. Dr. Brennan and her team provide scientific expertise and Special Agent Booth provides FBI criminal investigation technique. In addition to the prospective murder cases featured in each episode the series explores the backgrounds and relationships of its recurrent characters. An important ongoing dynamic between Brennan and Booth is their disagreement about science and faith.
The series is also known for its dark comedic undertones to, in essence, lighten the gravity of the show’s intense subject matter.
