Fans rejoice Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed up to do another Conan film. The 65-year-old (former) Governator will play the rippled warrior in ‘The Legend of Conan’, which will pretty much begin where 1982’s ‘Conan the Barbarian’ ended. Chris Morgan has been mooted as a screenwriter for the project and Fredrik Malmberg will direct it. Conan will begin shooting next year with hopes of hitting the big screen in 2014. The full cast of the movie has not yet been announced but the casting directors are now taking applications for both union and non union actors for several roles including one feature role. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to break into the industry so don’t miss out apply now.
As explained by Fredrik Malmberg “The original ended with Arnold on the throne as a seasoned warrior, and this is the take of the film we will make…It’s that Nordic Viking mythic guy who has played the role of king, warrior, soldier and mercenary, and who has bedded more women than anyone, nearing the last cycle of his life. He knows he’ll be going to Valhalla, and wants to go out with a good battle.” Arnold has voiced his opinion on the project and is very excited about shooting the reebot.
The casting directors are now looking for both male and female union and non union actors for the new project. They are looking to fill in one feature role and several extras. If you are interested please submit your application along with a photo and a brief resume. Please keep checking back for more information on casting dates and locations and as always leave us a comment on what you think about Conans return to the big screen.
