All you nerds geeks and Disney lovers rejoice because Disney has announced a large scale mystery film 1952 that is being directed by Brad Bird who created Mission Impossible. Also tied to the the movie will be Lost co-creator and Prometheus scribe Damon Lindelof who announced that he is working on the script for the Disney film and is set to start filming in the summer of 2013. After the failure of John Carter, it’s no wonder Disney is looking to wipe the slate clean for their next big genre and they are currently casting for numerous roles in the film. The casting directors at Disney are now taking applications for actors of all ages and backgrounds. We do not know the exact plot details of 1952 but people are speculating that the date title might refers to the Washington flap, a string of nights where mysterious floating objects were spotted all over our nation’s capital. Which has a very Close Encounters vibe to it, and knowing Damon and his writing style 1952 will somehow revolve around aliens.
The casting directors are casting starring roles including a boy and girl who can play 8-11 years of age, and a teen girl who can play 16-17 years of age. They are also looking for union and non union extras along with day roles for numerous scenes.
