Dove Commercial Casting Women With Nice Hair

The Dove casting team needs women to appear in two separate hair product commercials set to film in New York and Toronto.  Specifically they need five women, between the ages of 25 to 45 years old, that  are confident in front of a camera and have great hair that they are willing to temporarily alter.  Talents will be paid $1,000 to work on the commercial and extra money to let producers dye and heat their hair.

Dove is a personal care brand that originated in the United Kingdom and expanded worldwide.  Dove is very popular in over 8o countries and products are catered to both men and women.  Their logo is a silhouette of a dove and their goal is to provide healthy and empowering products to all types of people.  Their products are primarily made from synthetic surfactants and vegetable oils.

The best Dove ad campaign that they ever ran was their 2004 Campaign for Real Beauty.  It was meant to, “be an agent of change to educate and inspire girls on a wider definition of beauty and to make them feel more confident about themselves”.  Based on that campaign and that quote, it is easy to get an idea of what type of company they are.  They wanted to distance themselves from AXE products that promote false social norms by only using models with perfect hair, bodies, and faces.  They wanted to establish the notion that they are a company that caters to everyone.  Each individual is beautiful even though society often provides false expectations for what we are supposed to look like.
