Ashley Tisdale, Nick Cage left behind

Seems like Disney star Ashley Tisdale is everywhere these days and we have just learned that she will Join Nicolas Cage and Chad Michael Murray in their new movie Left Behind. The movie follows a group of survivors during the first few hours after the Rapture. The new movie will be a re boot of the 2005 version and will also be written and produced by Paul Lalonde who wrote and produced the original. The Left Behind movies, which starred Kirk Cameron and launched in 2001, were adapted from the mega-successful books written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins that reportedly sold more than 65 million copies.  The casting directors are now taking applications for several stand in roles among many extra roles that are needed for the film. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring actors that are looking to break into the acting industry.

Tisdale will be playing Chloe Steele, the daughter of Cage’s Ray Steele character. After millions of people suddenly disappear from Earth, Chloe wanders America looking to find any remaining members of her family. Murray will playing the role of journalist Cameron “Buck” Williams in the remake of the Christian-themed movie franchise. Left behind will have a $15 million budget and filming is expected to start in early spring for a fourth quarter 2013 release by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

The casting directors are now taking applications for male and female union and non union actors for the blockbuster movie.
