The much-anticipated Lone Survivor movie based on Marcus Luttrell’s thrilling best-selling book will be directed by well-known actor/director Peter Berg. Joining Mark Walhberg will be Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch, Alexander Ludwin and Eric Bana. After having Universal buy up the rights to Luttrell’s book, developing the project for five years, Berg is set to finally kick off making the movie next month. The casting directors have now announced that they are looking for extras to play as soldiers and other roles in Lone Survivor. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get into the movie industry.
Based on Marcus Luttrell’s account of a Navy SEAL mission gone tragically wrong, Lone Survivor finds Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg) and his team (including Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster) ambushed in Afghanistan by the Taliban in 2005. After a lengthy firefight and foot chase, almost all the remaining troops were taken out, resulting in the largest loss for the force in its history. Bana will be playing a SEAL lieutenant. Bin Laden’s death has cleared the way for this,” said Berg, “a movie that will be an unapologetically patriotic film that honors and pays homage to an incredible group of badass guys who do this… The film will be a bit like Black Hawk Down, but it will focus on the quartet, which is fewer guys than that film.”
The casting directors are now looking for talent to play as extras in Lone Survivor. They are now taking in applications for male and female roles for their new film.
