Disney has teamed up with It’s A Laugh Productions to produce their new half hour sitcom Mighty Med for their popular channel Disney XD. Executive producing is Primetime Emmy Award nominee Jim Bernstein and Andrew Schwartz, both of who also co-wrote the teleplay. Bernstein served as writer on numerous Disney Channel shows and also has been a writer and/or producer on Family Guy and American Dad among many others. Schwartz worked as a production assistant on Nickelodeon Network’s “All That” and “Drake & Josh” before becoming executive story editor on the ABC comedy drama “Scrubs”. Disney has handed over the hiring rights for Mighty Med’s extras and stand-ins to central casting and they have announced that they are currently casting kids under the age of 18. This is a awesome opportunity for any kid that is looking to get their face recognized on the Disney Channel and have the chance to be on the set of Disney Studios.
Mighty Med revolves around two best friends Kaz and Oliver, and Skyler Storm who is a comic book character. Since the two guys are huge comic book fans and know a whole lot about superpowers they get hired at a secret superhero hospital. While working at the hospital they discover that Skyler Storm is not just a imaginary character but a real person and it turns out that Storm is in the hospital because all of her powers have been taken away by the comic book villain The Vulture. So Kaz and Oliver decide that they will help Skyler get her powers back even though no one at the hospital has been able to do so.
The casting directors at central castings are now looking for numerous extras and stand-ins for Mighty Med. They are now taking applicaitons for kids under the age of 18.
