Showtime’s new TV series The Chi is now casting models and talent to work on their new show. Producers are specifically looking for African American models ages 18 to 25 years old in the Chicago area. Filming will take place on April 22nd and April 23rd.
The Chi is a coming-of-age story that revolves around a group of people living on the South Side of Chicago. The series is written by Lena Waithe, known for her work in Bones and Master of None. The producer of the show is the famous rapper/actor Common. One of the main stars in the show will be Jason Mitchell from the hit movie Straight Outta Compton. In The Chi, Mitchell plays a young man with dreams of opening a restaurant in the South Side of Chicago. Although he is very motivated to follow his dreams, he is held back by a rough family life in a neighborhood riddled with crime and poverty.
