The great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio has been pushed to Summer 2013. The movie was originally scheduled for release in the winter but due to a few minor setbacks the production couldn’t finish filming on time. Now the casting directors are holding a model search for extras to play in the movie along with a few day roles. They are looking for males and females ages 18 to 35 until the end of August. The movie is a 3D romantic drama film based on a 1925 novel by the same name. The Great Gatsby is directed by Baz Luhrman in association with Wrner Bros and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. The movie is filmed in New York with a $118 million budget, and will be shot in 3D and 2D formats.
The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy and her husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, sees stories of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles. It is based on a novel written in the roaring twenties during the great depression.
