Central Florida has landed a new television show The Inbetweeners. Ordering 12 episodes for a likely debut in 2012. Brad Copeland will exec produce the new show along with Aaron Kaplan and original series creators Damon Beesly and Iain Morris. The Inbetweeners will start shooting in August and probably last three months. The show is an adaptation of a British hit. The directors are now castings for extras and stand-in roles for the episodes.
The inbetweeners, which follows four suburban teens, will join the upcoming Teen Wolf on MTV, along with Awkward , and new Episodes of Beavis and Buthead. The show will follow four High School boys as they navigate the transition from teens to adulthood. “We want it to be comical, but also relatable to both a teenage and adult audience … much like the John Hughes movies of the ’80s,” Copeland said.
