The CW has announced a Hunger Games-like drama pilot set in a dystopian future named The Selection.  It is an adaptation of the book series by Kiera Cass and it’s thought to be developed as a remake of Hunger Games movie. The Selection remains a valuable development property for The CW, which has found success with The Vampire Diaries, which it developed to take advantage of the Twilight craze.  The Selection is one of several pilots for The CW that is set to premier in the fall of 2013 and the casting directors are now taking applications to fill in several feature and extra roles in the series,they are looking for male and female actors over the age of 16.

Based on the books by Kiera Cass, The Selection is described an epic romance set 300 years in the future which centers on a poor young woman (Friday Night Lights’ Aimee Teegarden) who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads. Ethan Peck and Sean Patrick Thomas co-star in the Warner Bros. Television pilot, which was written and exec produced by Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain. The CW is hoping to capitalize on The Hunger Games craze and this is your chance to get your big break.
