Here are a few tips that are going to help you get the photos you want and make you stand out from the rest.

Lets start off with lighting. Choose a location that has the most natural sun light to apply your make up. For example sit next to a window or a glass door. Another starting tip is to apply more than you would for your daily activities, keep in mind studio lights will reduce the amount of make up that you have on.

Moisturize, this is very important before you start applying the make up. Make sure you use oil free moisturizers as they will help you control the amount of oil on your face . Use concealer to hide the blemishes  and discoloration in lips and eyes. Make sure you do two shades lighter than your skin tone.

Foundation, use foundation that matches your skin from your chin and neckline, the camera will be able to see the sudden change in color from your chest to your face.

Contour your make up bellow your cheekbones and under your chin to create an oval look to the face. You want to achieve the the sculptured look.

Powder, Powder Powder do not forget this. Whenever you see someone preparing to go in front of camera there is a reason that you always see them applying powder. It creates that matte finish that make that great portfolio picture. It really makes a difference trust us.

Lip color, make sure you use lip gloss a few shades darker than you would normally wear and your lip liner should be the same color as your lipstick. NO CRAZY LIP LINER COLORS!!!!

Eyes, Apply eyeliner with caution avoid frosty or shimmery eyeshadow in order to make your face less glossy. And dont forget to use waterproof mascara. If this is done right than the person that is looking at your pictures will be drawn straight to you eyes

And last but not least Have Fun, if you don’t look like you are having fun it will have a negative effect on your photos no matter how good you did with the makeup.
