FOX has figured out how to combine Top Gun and West Wing together into a on hour drama pilot Wild Blue. Executive-produced by Graham Yost (Justified) and Mark Johnson (Breaking Bad), the show revolves around the working men and women on board a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier. The casting directors have announced that they will be holding auditions for several feature roles and extras for Wild Blue. FOX is now looking for male and female of all ages and this is your chance to audition. Do not miss out on your once in a lifetime chance and apply now.
The Sony Pictures TV-produced Wild Blue (formerly The Bridge) is described as an upstairs/downstairs look at pressure-cooker lives of the U.S. Navy. It is a young ensemble about the working men and women on board an aircraft carrier equipped with a 500-foot landing strip, a nuclear reactor and 6000 souls on board. The show will focus on the community of military people on a giant ship, somewhat like Battlestar Galactica, but with less of the sci-fi element.
The show’s casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for series regulars, with additional auditions to take place as soon as the regulars are cast. The stand-ins and background extras will be cast throughout shooting on the series pilot episode, which begins mid-March, 2013. We have also learned that there will be a need for talent to play as extras on the ship. If you are interested in this amazing opportunity please submit your information along with a recent photo and a basic resume.
