Lifetime has announced a new pilot series Witches Of East End. The show will be based on Melissa de la Cruz’s best-selling novel titled the same as the film. The series will star Emmy Winner Julia Ormond as a mom who has been concealing a shocking secret from her daughters Ingrid and Freya — namely that they are witches. Jenna Dewan will also star in Witches of East End and will play one of Ormond’s secretly supernatural daughters. Maggie Friedman, who shepherded ABC’s witch-themed “Eastwick,” wrote and will executive produce Witches of East End with Erwin Stoff for Fox 21 and 3 Arts. The casting directors are now looking for union and non union male and female actors for the new Lifetime series. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is looking to break into the acting industry.
The three Beauchamp women–Joanna and her daughters, Freya and Ingrid–live in North Hampton, out on the tip of Long Island. Their beautiful, mist-shrouded town seems almost stuck in time, and all three women lead seemingly quiet, uneventful existences. But they are harboring a mighty secret–they are powerful witches banned from using their magic. Joanna can resurrect people from the dead and heal the most serious of injuries. Ingrid, her bookish daughter, has the ability to predict the future and weave knots that can solve anything from infertility to infidelity. And finally, there’s Freya, the wild child, who has a charm or a potion that can cure most any heartache.
The casting directors are now looking for several actors for the new series. They are looking for actors ages 23 to 30 for several extra roles. If you are interested in the project please submit your information along with a photo and a brief resume. Please keep checking back for more intimation on casting dates and times.
